The Mysterious Reindeer: An Advent Novel

A boy’s holiday gets disrupted by a strange creature lurking around his family’s reindeer farm in this highly illustrated middle grade mystery told in an exciting advent calendar format, with chapter-a-day reading making it a well-paced and anticipation-filled experience!

Elliot lives with his parents on their reindeer farm at the edge of the forest. This Christmas, they’re hosting family for the celebration—including Elliot’s cousin Flora. He can’t wait for all the adventures they’re going to have!

But as soon as Flora arrives, strange things start happening. A hostile creature comes to prowl, startling all the reindeer except one…whose fur is shining extraordinarily bright and who moves with an almost magical grace. The cousins want to get to the bottom of what’s going on, but how can they investigate when they aren’t sure if they can believe what they’re seeing?

With this book’s unique advent calendar format, each of the twenty-four chapters is sealed by its own perforated enclosure that readers can gently tear open—by hand or with the help of a ruler—to read a chapter a day in the weeks leading to Christmas!
